Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Stephen Odey Ph D has been inaugurated Chairman of the Technical Committee of GPE Refugee and host communities Education project by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), in collaboration with Save the Children International (SCI) Nigeria and Mediatrix Development Foundation, UNHCR, on Tuesday in Calabar.
The inauguration was performed by the Federal Ministry of Education representative, Mr Godwin Odey, on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Didi Walson-Jack, OON, mni, with Senator Stephen Odey as Chairman and 7 others as members.

The Distinguished Commissioner for Education Cross River State. Chairman.
Representative from CR-SUBEB. Member.
Representative from NCFRMI.member.
Representative from Save the Children International, Member.
Representative from UNHCR. Member.
Education Secretaries of the LGAs. Member.
Representative of Ministry of Women Affairs, Member.
Any other Relevant Education Agency Member.
Representative from Office of Director Schools (MOE) Secretary. Were all charged to work very hard in the new assignment.
The Commissioner, who now doubles as Chairman of the Technical Committee, in his remarks shortly after inauguration congratulated other members of the Technical Committee saying, “Let me first congratulate my fellow committee members who have been appointed into this Technical Committee for Refugee and host communities Education project.
“I want to specifically and sincerely state that, we are very grateful for the identification and responsibility given to us, and want to assure everyone that by the grace of God, we are determined to carry out our assigned responsibilities based on the terms of reference that has been clearly indicated and stipulated for us. We will carry out our assigned duty without fear or favour and at the end of the day you will know you made the best choice.”
